By the Sea

This is my first blog post after a pause of more than 10 years. I used to write a lot in my early 20s and then, as soon as I got passionate about photography, I suddenly stopped. 

So please be kind while I slowly sink into words once again.

The reason I finally decided to do it is because a lot of friends ask me with curiosity what happens behind my photoshoots. So here we go, my dear friends! Enjoy :)

“By the Sea”

It all started around 5 years ago when one close Romanian girlfriend, Mihaela, came to visit and we went to Mayto, a beach I love. We met there John, an american designer, retired and proud owner of a piece of land on the coast, near by. He showed us some nice secret spots, we drank wine and chatted everyday while we were there. 

Well 5 years past with no communication with John, though we were friends on Facebook, so one day I see this post on my wall with an amazing house down a beach very similar to Mayto. Instinctively I wrote to John an email to congratulate him and ask for a room in rent as I wanted to go to celebrate my birthday close to what I most love, the ocean.

To make the story short, he proposed me to take some shots of Casa J Chachalaka, as he wants to promote it as location for films / photoshoots. So I took my girlfriend model, Andra, my husband and my dog and we celebrated my 30th birthday with laughter, photos and interesting discussions by the sea.

If I had to describe one of my favourite kind of photography job, well this would be it. 

It was an amazing weekend: salty breeze, ocean’s wild waves, dreamy sunsets.
